Carole Harris-Wardell founded Glass Reflections Stained Glass Studio in 1989 after having worked for other art glass studios since 1979. Carole studied Interior Design in college enabling her to interpret and interact with Interior Designers and Architects. Her studio caught the attention of several local design professionals and over the years they have collaborated to create exceptional stained glass installations for hundreds of residential, business and religious buildings.
Carole had a strong desire to keep the spirit of her studio fresh and innovative and decided at the very beginning to work in partnership with free-lance glass designers. Carole conducts an extensive interview with her client to establish a working concept for the project then collaborates closely with the free-lance designer to interpret the client’s desire. Artist Crys Soderholm has become the studio’s go-to designer for inventive and original concepts. Crys' exceptional talent as a glass painter has enhanced many of our custom stained glass projects. The studio has also collaborated with freelance Artist Debra Kasovitz-Probert since 1989. We were privileged to have her working with us while she completed her Masters of Art degree. Debra’s unique style is a client favorite and her talents have enhanced dozens of projects. Artist Don Harris has been the main fabricator of our custom stained glass windows and doors for many years. The quality of his work can be seen in our publications Windows of Elegance Volume 2. His talents have brought technique and dimension to our stained glass designs.
In 1996 Carole authored her first book titled Windows of Elegance - Volume 1 published and distributed by Wardell Publications. This book features over 150 designs for stained glass windows. The design styles include traditional, tropical, floral, beveled panels, modern abstracts, landscapes and magnificent entryways. A second book titled Windows of Elegance - Volume 2 was released 2005 presenting a completely new selection of dramatic art glass installations using location specific photography. Both books are available from stained glass supply stores or your local bookstore.
In addition to her work in the stained glass studio, Carole also works with her husband Randy at their publishing company Wardell Publications as project editor.
